Jeff Dunham invades Europe

It seemed that when Comedy Central announced in March that Jeff Dunham had signed a deal with the network to, among other things, star in his own show and do another hour-long comedy special, the world would know the extend to which the wildly popular ventriloquist had arrived.

But just last week, Dunham toured overseas for the first time in his career. And, it seems, Europe loves him as much as the States. He played London, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki and Oslo, selling almost 30,000 tickets total and appearing on national television shows in the European capital cities. Before his arrival, his three DVDs on all platforms were released on the continent; turns out his 2007 special Spark of Insanity hit number two in DVD sales in The Netherlands and is also the most viewed show in Holland.

A few months ago, I chatted with Dunham for Punchline Magazine’s series A Tight Five. Check it out below.
