It’s turning out to be a big year for comedian Sherri Shepherd. Known mostly for her co-hosting duties on The View, Shepherd became a stand-up in 1990 and has been dabbling in live shows as of late; she was part of last year’s New York Comedy Festival. But now, comes word from the Hollywood Reporter that she’s signed on to star in a Lifetime network pilot based around her life. The show was originally scripted for the CW last year, but was canned.
This news comes as Shepherd is also preparing to release her first book, Permission Slips: Every Woman’s Guide to Giving Herself a Break, which she co-penned with comedian Laurie Kilmartin. The book is due out Oct. 14. After the jump check out some of Shepherd’s more colorful interactions on The View.
