According to a Reuters news release, Ron White and Comedy Central have agreed to release The Ron White Show. Described as a showcase for White to voice his opinions on stories that focus on the heartland, this program will be the comedy network’s second attempt at adding a news show that isn’t associated with Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert. David Alan Grier’s Chocolate News ran for 12 episodes in 2008 before being canceled.
