Gay Robot is finally making it to TV – albeit not as a live action series but as part of Nick Swardson’s upcoming sketch comedy show. Swardson announced via his Myspace blog that his show was picked up for six episodes.

It’ll be my own sketch show with Gay Robot animated a part of the sketch show. It’s more in the vain of Mr. Show and Human Giant. I’m so psyched. Gonna be DOPE.

Also part of the project is Tom Gianas who has written for shows like Saturday Night Live, Tenacious D, and Human Giant. Gianas worked with Swardson on the original live acion Gay Robot series.
