Looks like Jerry Seinfeld is stepping into the spotlight again, but it’s not what you think. Rather than a series about nothing, Seinfeld’s new deal is definitely about something: a minuscule Australian building society, that is.
Chortle reports that for the next two years, the comedian will be promoting the New South Wales-based Greater Building Society in a series of radio, Internet, print, and TV campaigns– all for an undisclosed drop-in-the-bucket sized fee. This is remarkable especially when considering Seinfeld’s last endeavor into advertising, in which the venerable comedian shelled for Microsoft at a staggering eight-figure fee. You may remember, those ads were not well-received, to say the least.
