Russell Brand will return as host of the MTV Video Music Awards. The British comedian hosted the ceremony last year with Britney Spears, bringing in a record number of over 23 million viewers for the network. He also made headlines for mocking the Jonas Brothers.

“This year will be a controversy-free festival of love and discrete orgasms,” Brand told MTV News. He added that he’s learned to “only blindly praise the Jonas Brothers.”

Brand is the third back-to-back host for the ceremonies, following comedians Arsenio Hall from ‘88-91 and Dennis Miller in ’95-96. The 26th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air on Sept. 13th from Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
