Watching 100 amateur stand-up videos in five days

I am sitting in my office/kitchen feeling  like challenging myself arbitrarily for the hope of gaining little to nothing in the end. This is why I am going to watch 100 amateur stand-up comedy clips in just five days. That’s about 20 videos a day of what I can hope will be pure, untapped, hilarious talent, but will more likely turn out to be eye wateringly tiresome.

Next week, the stand-up videos of the day will be the best of what I have seen thus far, including a brief summary of the others. . . I will be scouring the usual sites like Youtube, Vimeo, Veoh, etc, but please – if you find something you think I should see, send it along!

To give you an idea of what I’m looking for (or wishing I wasn’t looking for), check out the clip below from PREACHA. I found this to be surprisingly funny, but not for the reasons intended.

Chase Roper

Chase Roper is a brilliantly subtle and bitingly sarcastic writer/ humorist from very south of Seattle, WA. While it might not be relevant to his comedy writing career, Chase feels it is important to mention that he is also an expert on the subject of zombies and martial arts movies. Also, 'bitingly' might not be a real word.
