kaufman_andy2There’s a cool opportunity for Andy Kaufman fans in the LA area: there’s a special screening of rare Kaufman performances happening tomorrow night at the Silent Movie Theatre. The event is taking place in conjunction with the release of the book Dear Andy Kaufman, I Hate Your Guts, written by Lynne Marguiles, Kaufman’s former girlfriend.

The video includes moments from Kaufman’s “Intergender Wrestling Champion of the World” adventures, a never-before-seen performance from 1975 at “Midnight Snacks” at the LA Improv, and a curious video about someone driving to New Jersey to exhume Kaufman’s corpse. Writer/comedian/Kaufman friend Bob Zmuda will be on hand for a Q&A after the screening. You can get tickets here.
