Daniel ToshIn addition to the recent news that Tosh.0 Daniel Tosh’s Internet-delving, viral video-showing Comedy Central series, had been renewed for a second season — a record 25 episodes were ordered, marking the largest single season pick-up ever by the network — today it was announced that the quickly-rising comic will film a new one-hour stand up special premiering in 2010 (to be released on CD and DVD), as well as set out on a national stand-up tour– both for Comedy Central.

The appropriate conclusion to be drawn from the last paragraph: Daniel Tosh is having a good day. In response to the news, Tosh says “Comedy Central is making all my dreams come true, now if they could just cure my disease… technically it’s more of an infection.”

Tosh has a history with the network, releasing his debut album True Stories I Made Up on their label in 2005 and following up with his first hour special and DVD, Completely Serious in 2007.

Fans of Tosh.0 can look forward to seeing all their favorite features return this Jan. 13, including the ever-popular Web Redemptions. But if that’s too long to wait, in the meantime you can always check out the frequently updated Tosh.0 blog.
