The holiday spirit has found its way to “Larry the Cable Guy’s” heart. Larry the Cable Guy, whose real name is Dan Whitney, has made quite the charitable donation to Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. He has pledged $1.2 million dollars to construct a 14-bed children’s unit at the hospital that will be devoted to helping children overcome injury and illness.
Larry the Cable Guy, a native of Pawnee City, Neb., has made the pledge through his Git-R-Done Foundation which seeks to “provide assistance to individuals, families and organizations that have experienced hardships beyond their control.” In the past, the Git-R-Done Foundation has made contributions to both the National Guard and the FFA: the Future Farmers of America.
For information on how you can contribute to the Git-R-Done Foundation, why don’t you check out gitrdonefoundation.org? And hey, check out a few quotes below from Larry in this bizarrely edited video from a local news station in North Carolina.
