Adam Carolla, The Man Show and podcast host extraordinaire, recently had a new television pilot picked up by NBC. Though no name has yet been provided for the show, it is said to be about a contractor (Carolla) who seeks to rebuild his life after a divorce.
The show is co-written by Kevin Hench, a producer who has worked with Carolla previously on “The Man Show” and “Too Late with Adam Carolla.” He also co-wrote “Ace in the Hole” with Carolla, a pilot picked up earlier in 2009 by CBS, making this the second consecutive comedy pilot the duo have had produced.
NBC will be picking up a total of 18 pilots for the new season, 10 dramas and eight comedies, though this is the first comedy pilot yet to be chosen. Though no quote was provided as to Carolla’s response, it would probably be something along the lines of “Hey! Alright. Yes. I like this.”
