Two of the hottest names in comedy, Kristen Wiig and Judd Apatow, will be paired together with Freaks and Geeks (rest its TV soul) creator Paul Feig. They’re coming together for as a yet untitled movie project. Written by Wiig and Annie Mumolo, the movie is said to be about two friends fighting for wedding party planning supremacy as a third friend’s nuptials loom close.
This is the first time that Apatow and Feig have collaborated since the cancellation of Freaks and Geeks, on which Apatow served as a writer, director, and executive producer. The project has also attracted the interest of Flight of the Conchords co-creator James Bobin, although he eventually chose to direct the new Muppet movie instead.
