Cheech and Chong

Since it was one of the best selling comedy tours of 2008 and 2009, there’s a decent chance you may have caught the reunion of legendary comedy duo Cheech & Chong in your city. But if you want more access or just plain missed the veteran pot enthusiasts you’ll be able to catch the feeling on April 20 in theaters (420, potheads!)— and on seemingly every other high tech medium.

Check it out: On that day, their concert documentary Cheech & Chong’s Hey Watch This will be released in movie theaters nationwide and simultaneously on DVD, Blu-Ray, online, retail chains, Video on Demand and the streaming networks of PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The flick follows the longtime friends during their Cheech & Chong Light Up America tour with the focus on their concert in San Antonio, and of course, plenty of backstage footage. Director Christian Charles, the man behind Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedian, says the film was made with laid back potheads in mind.

The Muppet Show inspired my approach, but even the Muppets can’t create characters as out there as Cheech and Chong,” said Charles. “This release is the perfect combination of subversion and appeal, no duo rides that line better.”

So if that’s the type of thing you’re looking for in your comedy, you might want to click the image below and pre-order your copy now. Thinking ahead is something potheads aren’t known to do. Why not break the stereotype?
