NBC putting out casting call for diverse comedians

NBCCalling all budding comedians of diverse backgrounds! NBC wants you. Yes, you. You and your blossoming comedic chops are invited to audition for the broadcasting giant’s countrywide search for comedians of “diverse backgrounds.”

In order to enter, visit NBC’s official audition page for details.

A headshot and collection of stand-up videos must be uploaded, and the top 50 most voted member videos will be sent on to NBC execs for review. Of these, at least one contestant will be chosen for an interview with NBC talent execs.

    I was under the impression that this gotcast was a scam (see: The Apiary). Why would NBC send this out when their annual stand-up for diversity auditions are just a month away?
