Russell BrandRussell Brand sure is busy. On the verge of the release of his new movie, Get Him To The Greek, he managed to squeeze in time to record vocals for a reworking of “3 Lions,” the official anthem of England’s football (soccer) team. The song was originally written in 1996 by comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner along with the band The Lightning Seeds.

Later that year, when England hosted the UEFA European Football Championship, the record topped the charts. The new recording teams the old writers along with Brand and English pop-star Robbie Williams. The rerecording is in preparation of England’s participation in the World Cup, which will start June 11 in South Africa.

You can check out the track here. [ed note] Warning! It sucks.

I think Russell is a duder. Wendy likes his tight pants and wants to know when he will come on the Bob Robot Show. I think she needs to cut back on the hormone treatment.

So Russell come and watch the Bob Robot Show. Perhaps you could give me some interview tips as I hear you know how to get people talking.

    I love Russell Brand.
