It’s now official: Russell Brand is an international superstar.
The UK’s Sun reported in March of last year that Al Jean – one of the executive producers of The Simpsons stated that Brand was “very funny,” and, “I would definitely be interested in writing an episode around him.”
And yesterday, it was reported that Brand will be on The Simpsons. Brand said, “It’s True I’m going to be in The Simpsons. I was having an amazing birthday party and found out I was going into space. Then my agent says, ‘Oh The Simpsons want you in an episode,’” following up, “Once you’ve gone yellow, you’ve made it.”
There is no word as of yet if Brand will write the episode like Seth Rogen or Ricky Gervais have in the past when they guest starred, but he does have an idea of what he wants to do. “My ideal show would be where I have a cartoon relapse with Barney and Homer and get smashed out of my mind with them.”
