Bmelissa2est known for her popular role on the show Reba and for her hosting gig on CMT’s The Singing Bee, actress Melissa Peterman has just been cast in another sitcom; but this time, it’s her own. Working Class, a family comedy about a blue-collar family that moves to the suburbs, will premiere in January on CMT.

“I had a great run on ‘Reba’ and loved every minute of it,” says Peterman. “I’ve really missed doing a sitcom. This one feels right. I can’t wait to get to work.”

In other Melissa Peterman news, she’s getting ready to put out her first standup comedy album. The album was recorded last week in her native state of Minnesota for Big Machine Records, Taylor Swift’s label. No word yet on when it will be released.
