Austan Goolsbee, President Obama’s Chief Economist on the Economic Recovery Advisory Board, is set to take over as chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, according to the Washington Post. But if you think all government officials—especially economists—are boring, paper-pushing office workers, you’d be wrong about Goolsbee. In fact, he’s a part-time improv comedian who has even appeared on Jon Stewart’s Daily Show.
In this clip, courtesty of Politico, Goolsbee performs at “D.C.’s Funniest Celebrity” contest in October 2009, where he won top prize.
And here he is on the Daily Show in August of last year.
