A few weeks ago, we told you about Norwegian comedian Hans Morten Hansen who broke the Guinness World Record for “Longest Stand-up Comedy Show by an Individual.” Well, his reign might be short-lived. Bob Marley will attempt to oust Hansen a week from today at the Comedy Connection in Portland, Maine.
Hansen’s time of 38 hours and 14 minutes beat out Lindsay Webb’s 38 hour, 6 minute show in April 2009, and Webb had previously knocked down the defending champion Tommy Tiernan (36 hours, 15 minutes). Now the question is whether or not Marley can outlast Hansen. “I’m freakin’ out but I’ll give it a shot,” he commented on his upcoming performance.
The event next Wednesday, in partnership with the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, will begin at 7 am EST and end just after midnight on Friday. More information, along with ticket sales, can be found right here.
