Rooftop Comedy, the Web’s foremost destination to view daily stand-up comedy clips from across the country, is producing the Out Loud Comedy & Arts Festival from Oct. 7 – 10 in San Francisco.

The festival will celebrate the city’s well-known gay community by bringing together the comedy world’s most respected gay performers. Icon Sandra Bernhard will highlight the festivities with a headlining show at the Castro Theatre on Oct. 9.

“I’ve established my career on breaking new ground – being the first, being the most outspoken, doing things my own way,” says Bernhard. “That’s what Out Loud is all about, so it’s a natural fit for me. I’m honored to partner with the launch of this Festival and hope that it becomes a long-running tradition.”

Other acts performing at Out Loud include New York-based Jim David, Last Comic Standing standout Fortune Feimster and Ian Harvie, “the first female to male transgender headliner.”

Rooftop Comedy has been producing the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival for the last three summers.
