This Halloween, The Daily Show‘s John Oliver has lent his on-camera talents to help promote a project produced by The Story Pirates, a bi-coastal company that’s been described as “Monty Python meets Schoolhouse Rock.” That is, it’s an organization that helps kids excel in arts and writing projects in more than 100 schools across the country.

Starting tomorrow, the Story Pirates and Manhattan Youth open up HalloWOAH!, a haunted house in downtown Manhattan for the whole family. Proceeds from ticket sales will go back to the organization and into future programs for the kiddies. If you’re not in the New York area and want to check out what the Story Pirates are up to elsewhere or want to contribute, check out their official site.

If you don’t want to do any of that, well, then check out Oliver below in this HalloWOAH! video; dude can still be funny even without appealing strictly to the adult Daily Show audience.
