Hey, Marc Maron fans: Remember the Angry Chef—that delightful recurring segment from Air America’s experimental live online chat show Break Room Live? It was great, wasn’t it?
For those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, here’s the deal. In between Maron and co-host Sam Seder interviewing political types and comedians and opining on all the world’s follies, Maron would treat us to an indie version of the Food Network. If you know the comedian’s work, you know he loves food—or at the very least, has a love/hate relationship with it. He’s open about his “addiction” to ice cream and other treats – his fans gift him with home baked goods at his live appearances – yet still maintains a more-than-trim figure.
That’s love/hate right there.
Anyway, the reason I’m writing about Maron and food and the reason I’m about to rationalize embedding a three-part episode of the Angry Chef (a segment I miss dearly) is that Marc has written a bit of a Thanksgiving feature for Saveur magazine; and in the process, has unleashed on the world, his recipe for apricot and walnut stuffing.
So if you like stuffing, go there. If you want to see Maron cook some steaks, just watch below.
