Nick Thune and Seinfeld writer join forces for NBC project

Nick ThuneIt looks like rising comedian Nick Thune made a good impression with the suits at NBC after appearing as a recurring correspondent on The Jay Leno Show—not to be confused with the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Regardless, the sometimes guitar-wielding comic has joined forces with former Seinfeld writer Spike Feresten in creating a new half hour show for the network. The as of yet untitled project, according to Deadline, “revolves around a group of twentysomethings new to Los Angeles seen through the eyes of the newest arrival, played by Thune.”

After his Leno spots, Thune also starred opposite Matthew Broderick in an NBC pilot called Beach Lane, which has since been dropped from their development slate.
