In a recent interview with New York Magazine, veteran interviewer Larry King made a surprising statement about his plans for after the end of his long running talk show.
“I’m funny,” said King. “I’m going to do stand-up. That’s what I love.”
Now, most people who have seen Larry King interview someone in recent years agree that the man is funny. But, intentionally so? That’s another matter… For reference, here’s a clip dug up by Media Bistro of King cracking jokes at a roast of former D.N.C. chairman, Don Brown in 1992. Dear God…
Hopefully making this plan will be like the name of one of The Beatles, and King won’t remember it.
