Jimmy Pardo and his Never Not Funny podcast successfully raised over $28,000 for the Smile Train (a charity providing free cleft surgery for millions of poor children in developing countries) with the show’s annual Pardcast-a-thon.
The live 12-hour marathon show played to a sold out audience at the Acme Theater in Los Angeles early last weekend; thousands more watched a live broadcast via pardcast.com.
Surpassing the $21,000 raised last year, the 2010 Pardcast-a-thon included guests Paul F. Tompkins, Rich Sommer, Kevin Pollak, Sarah Silverman, Rob Corddry, Doug Benson, Oscar nominated musician Aimee Mann, “The Dish’s” Danielle Fishel, comedy legend Tom Dreesen, Conan band member Labamba, and more.
The entire broadcast is available for purchase at pardcast.com for $14.99 with all proceeds going to The Smile Train.
