Riki “Garfunkel” Lindhome and Kate “Oates” Micucci
The comedy-folk duo Garfunkel and Oates have launched a grass roots campaign to make their Christmas song “Present Face” the number one holiday song of the year. The song focuses specifically on the face a person makes when they find themselves on the receiving end of a confusing or otherwise completely unwanted gift. A face I’m sure all of you are familiar with (except for me. I’ve always genuinely loved every present I’ve ever been given, family who might be reading this.)
To launch this musical mission, Riki “Garfunkel” Lindhome and Kate “Oates” Micucci are asking fans to submit their own present faces to be shared on their website and with Facebook fans. In addition to this holiday picture fun, G&O are also hoping fans will make requests for their local radio stations to play “Present Face” throughout the month. If you’d like to send in your own picture, submissions can be sent to mypresentface@gmail.com.
Garfunkel and Oates can be seen this Friday, Dec. 3 in the The Garfunkel and Oates Christmas Hour! at UCB Theater – Los Angeles. Micucci’s latest solo EP project, titled EP Phone Home was released this week and is available on iTunes and CDBaby.com.
