Want to see some comedy on Broadway that isn’t “Spiderman”? Kathy Griffin announced yesterday that she’s performing eight stand-up comedy shows on Broadway called “Kathy Griffin Wants a Tony,” beginning March 11 and running through March 19.
If I didn’t know any better, I’d think that she was going for the storied EGOT: she’s won an Emmy, is nominated for a Grammy (for the third time), and, well, who knows what’ll happen on the big screen.
Looks like the show will be a light-hearted upper. Griffin says, “If you are in the market for an evening of laughter, swearing and negativity, you’ve found the right show!” Just what we all need.
