ComedyAwards

Award season is not over yet! Comedy Central and MTV Networks have just announced the nominees for the first ever Comedy Awards, which will air April 10 on all of MTVs networks. Some mainstream favorites unsurprisingly garnered several nominations, like 30 Rock and The Office, but some lesser known gems of comedy, like Children’s Hospital and Archer, also earned recognition. And, because these are the Comedy Awards, the ceremony should actually be funny. And without awkward banter between presenters.

Check out the full list of nominees after the jump and the official awards site here.

Jacob’s right, there should be a best comedy album category.

I feel like “Community” is getting snubbed a little bit on these nominations…the writing on that show is insanely good.

And I never saw Kickass as a true comedic film. There are funny moments, but was last year that bereft of good comedy films that it has 3 nominations? It’s a dark, violent movie.

I think there needs to be a Best Comedy Album category.

umm…what’s the deal with whitney cummings? she’s not funny, not hot, and very unoriginal…when will this trend of slutty women comics getting opportunities end?
