Autotuning speeches, interviews, and generally anything not already a song has become a fairly standard practice online. Just search on YouTube for “autotune” and you’ll find way too many videos that amp up old, decidedly non-musical content.
With all the autotuned Obama speeches and newscasts, though, it’s hard to find stand-up comedy given the T-Pain treatment.
But check out this video that surfaced a few days ago: it’s George Carlin’s “Modern Man” routine remixed, edited and autotuned by DJ Steve Porter and DJ Eli Wilkie.
What do you think? Is this an acceptable homage to one of stand-up comedy’s legends?
