gallagherVeteran comedian Gallagher will cancel all his shows this week and next week after collapsing onstage last night in Minnesota. Gallagher’s manager, Craig Marquardo tells Punchline Magazine, “We’ll wait to see how he is before deciding about the rest.”

During the smashing portion of his show at Whiskey Bone’s Roadhouse, in fact, right after Gallagher exclaimed, “…And the rockets red glare!” and crushed a food product with a giant sledge hammer, the 64-year-old jokester hit the floor and didn’t get up. A 911 call was made and he was rushed to a nearby hospital.

“The cause is still unknown (to me, at least),” Marquardo told Punchline Magazine this morning. “An hour later, he was awake and stable, but kept overnight for tests and observation.”

UPDATE: 11:45 am EST

Marquardo is now telling us that next week’s shows are “still on the books.” Only this weekend’s shows have currently been canceled.
