Dane CookStand-up comedy fans eager to check out mega-popular comic Dane Cook in his Broadway debut this Spring will have to wait another year.

The Hollywood Reporter explains that a crucial financial backer of the show Neil LaBute’s Fat Pig has unexpectedly took their money and ran.

“The postponement is due to the last-minute fallout of a key investment,” the production’s press representative, The Hartman Group, said. “This did not leave the producers enough time to reacquire the necessary capital and begin rehearsals on schedule to open prior to the Tony Awards cutoff date.”

As of now, the show, also starring Julia Stiles, is scheduled to open in the Spring of 2012.
