Comedy journalist and Punchline Magazine contributor Jeffrey Gurian has been hard at work interviewing comedian subjects for his book, a history of the famous Comic Strip Live comedy club in New York City. He’s already banked more than 25 interviews, including chats with Jerry Seinfeld, Ray Romano and Chris Rock.
In the below video, we see Jeffrey and Comic Strip owner Richie Tienken chatting with 30 Rock star and veteran stand-up comedian Judah Friedlander. It gives us comedy nerds an amazing look inside how the television business works, especially when the World Champion explains that some TV studios make you sign multi-year sitcom contracts before you get to even see a script. Bonkers. Anyway, check it out!
