'Flight of the Conchords' star Bret McKenzie cast in 'The Hobbit'

New Zealand’s own Bret McKenzie of Flight of the Conchords fame has been cast in Peter Jackson’s highly anticipated Hobbit adaptation. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed recently that Mckenzie will be playing the role of an elf. The Hobbit is currently filming on location in New Zealand and is due out in two parts starting in the summer of 2012.
