Last night at The Comedy Awards during an acceptance speech, Alec Baldwin flat-out said he wants to be able to spend more time with his family. On his grueling 30 Rock schedule he said, “I want to thank my family, because doing this job it’s tough and i haven’t been able to see everyone…I miss them. I don’t see them as much as I’d like to.”
And we all know that Alec will likely be departing the show after next season, which means he’ll have more family time and the chance to accept some short term projects– you know, like a friggin’ Woody Allen film. Deadline just broke the news that the legendary director and former stand-up comedian has cast Baldwin in his next flick, to be filmed in Rome. There’s few other details as of now.
