If there’s one thing I know about Futurama fans, it’s that they’re fucking crazy– in a good way. I think.
How do I know this? Well, our good friends at the Comedy Central Insider do an excellent job of keeping everyone appraised of that fact in their recurring Futurama Fanarama posts, wherein we see fans’ photos of Futurama-themed wedding cakes, Futurama cartoons forced into existing ad campaigns, computer cases modified via blowtorch to look like Futurama characters, and more.
The point is this. As of today, there are 50 days until the premiere of an all-new season of Futurama on Comedy Central. And the network folks are pulling a Facebook stunt to help all of the insane Futurama fans get ready for the big day. And it’s totally going to work. Each day until June 23 at 10 pm EST (let’s call it “F-Day”) Comedy Central will post a piece of exclusive content — preview clips, episode stills, story boards, etc. — on the Futurama Facebook page, which boasts nearly 12.3 million lunatics fans.
