It only makes sense that Greg Proops, veteran of the hit televised short form improv show Whose Line Is It Anyway? and brilliant, oft-lauded stand-up comedian, would headline the improvised stand-up show Set List. Luckily, in this instance, sense wins out. And Punchline Magazine can exclusively report that Proops is the man for the job.

This summer, Set, List, produced by Paul Provenza, Barbara Romen and Troy Conrad is going across the globe to both the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with a glorious line-up including Proops the UK’s very own Matt Kirshen, and several of the funniest people around the globe.
After doing the show once at iO West, Proops, who frequently enjoys riffing in Set List-esque style on his immensely popular Smartest Man in the World podcast, loved doing the show so much he signed up for 24 shows throughout August at the Fringe Fest as well as their run at Montreal on July 28, 29; more dates will be announced.
If there is anyway you can attend any of these dates are in the LA area when Set List comes back home, you should make a real effort to catch stand-up comedy that’s at the absolute cutting edge.
