Comedy duos aren’t a new trend in entertainment: there’s Laurel and Hardy, Cheech and Chong, Abbott and Costello, Wilder and Pryor… uh, Harold and Kumar!

These couples have made their mark onscreen because of their partnership – it’s hard to imagine a Cheech without a Chong. Some duos, though, have been busier off-screen, whether they write, produce or direct films together. That’s the case with Paul Feig and Judd Apatow, who first banded together over 10 years ago to create the tragically canceled TV show Freaks and Geeks. They haven’t fallen by the wayside, though – their powers combined resulted in this summer’s early hit Bridesmaids, starring Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph.

Luckily for us, Feig and Apatow won’t be resting on their laurels (or Hardies… get it?) for long. Deadline broke the news that that the two will write and direct a new comedy for Universal Pictures, and Apatow’s set to produce. No words on the plot yet, but you know it’ll make Eleventeen billion dollars.
