If you haven’t been paying attention recently, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have written a musical. And it just so happens that their musical is gaining overwhelming critical praise and winning awards left, right and center.

Last night’s Tony Awards was no exception.

The Book of Mormon took home nine of the 14 awards it was nominated for last night including: Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Direction of a Musical and of the biggie, Best Musical.

Check out a performance from one of the more “television appropriate” numbers from last night’s Tonys called “I Believe.”

The Book of Mormon is currently running Broadway and will tour nationally starting next year.
