Pretty much every kid grows up idolizing some cartoon. My own loyalties lay with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Ghostbusters before the magical world of Nickelodeon, The Simpsons, South Park – you know, the new classics.
What’s always baffled me, though, is how those cartoons actually get made, especially since we’ve clearly moved away from the flipbook draw-every-single-cell method in the good old days of Disney and Looney Tunes.
And now we know! The producers of Futurama have released a special video explaining how the show gets made, from voiceovers to animation. If you have ever enjoyed a cartoon – I hope that means everyone – you should definitely watch and learn a little. And obviously tune into Comedy Central tonight at 10 pm EST for the premiere of a new season of the show, featuring back to back episodes!
