When I think about my favorite stand-up comedy venues, giant fields with thousands of hipster music fans generally aren’t among the top ten. Maybe it’s old school, but there’s something about the dive-y, tiny comedy club that carries a hell of a lot of appeal.

Recently, though, comedy has found a new place in the giant music festival (Bonnaroo and South By Southwest, anyone?)

One of those, Seattle’s Bumbershoot music and arts festival, announced their comedy line-up – and it is rock solid.

Lucky Bumbershoot attendees will be able to check out a fairly big variety of comedy acts. There will be podcast tapings, like Doug Benson’s Doug Loves Movies and Scott Aukerman’s Comedy Bang Bang. There’ll be stand-up comics like Deon Cole and Eugene Mirman. And some performers defy categorization, like Chicago’s Improvised Shakespeare Company and the Gregory Brothers, infamous for autotuning the news to great effect.

You can check out the full lineup after the jump.
