I want Ricky Gervais to do every show on television. He’s been involved in some brilliant film and TV comedies: The Office, Extras, An Idiot AbroadSpy Kids 4 and more.

Now, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Gervais is joining Clyde Phillips – a former showrunner for Showtime hit Dexter – to create a show called Afterlife, centering around an atheist who dies and, against all odds, goes to heaven. Gervais is a proud and public atheist, as shown in his stand-up act and especially by an editorial he wrote for the Wall Street Journal back in December, so this will definitely be a project close to his heart.
