You read the headline. I get it. But before you get all excited about having Tig Notaro just waltz into your home for the express purpose of performing stand-up comedy, there’s a few things you need to know. In order for you to even have the chance to experience a show like this, you’ll need to pre-order her album, Good One, out Aug. 2. Here’s what you do: go here and lay your money down for either the CD version of the album or — get this — you can snag an LP version. That’s it. You’ll be automatically entered to win the aforementioned prize. The winner will be chosen and announced on Aug. 9.
While an LP would be all hipster-y and retro and hipster-y (and that’s totally cool and hip) I’d recommend going for the CD version, because it comes with a DVD– but not a DVD of the live performance captured on the album. No, no, my friends. This is a special DVD, wherein Tig acts as if she’s at a party at your house or wherever you end up viewing this thing. We’re also told there’s an infomercial (I’m thinking it’s one of those fake kinds) featuring Sarah Silverman, Nick Swardson, Zach Galifianakis. The choice is yours.
