As a complete geek, I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for nerd comedies from Spaceballs to The Guild. With geekery becoming chic, it’s not surprising that we’d see quite a bit of funny movies and shows aimed at the subculture – and maybe poking a little bit of fun at it.

At Comic-Con last week, a trailer for a comedy horror film called Knights of Badassdom was screened, and it’s just been uploaded to the web for the rest of us folks who weren’t lucky enough to attend. Think LARPing (live action role playing, for the uninitiated) plus Hot Tub Time Machine with a smidge of Idle Hands. It’ll be released in Spring 2012, and stars Danny Pudi, Steve Zahn, Summer Glau, Ryan Kwanten, and Peter Dinklage, among others. What are you waiting for? Check it out!
