Rob Riggle is destined to become the next former Daily Show employee to become a household name in the comedy world. On the heels of an already-stellar few months, the stand-up comedian, improviser, writer and actor (and Marine) has just snagged a big fat development deal with cable giant HBO. The deal will find Riggle helping to develop and star in the comedy series Lifestyle Lemonaid, which is based on the blog, lifestylemonaid.com written by Hollywood agent Brandt Joel’s wife Nikki Joel, according to Deadline, who broke the news of the deal. Riggle is set to play the part of the husband. If the pilot doesn’t go to series, HBO will develop other series around Riggle. Not a bad deal. Congrats, Rob!
