Ricky Gervais, busiest (most powerful?) comedy person in the world will drop by the new season of Family Guy to voice the part of a dolphin for an episode titled, “Be Careful What You Wish For.” This is great news for us, but Gervais may be even more excited about the guest gig, since he’s a huge fan of the enormously politically incorrect animation Fox series.

Family Guy is my favorite show at the moment” Gervais said. “I watch two a night and I’m slightly obsessed. When [creator] Seth MacFarlane phoned me out of the blue and said he was a huge fan, I was delighted. It was such a joy working with the team and I really like the way my character looks too.” Gervais’ character’s name is Billy Finn; he moves into the Family’s town after meeting on a fishing trip.

Speaking of comedy animation and guest spots, legendary Simpsons voice actor Dan Castellaneta (Homer Simpson) will pop up in an episode of NBC’s Parks and Recreation this season. He’ll join the impressive ranks of past Parks guests like Louis C.K., Will Arnett, Megan Mullally, and Parker Posey; all have made their mark on the show, even if they only appeared a few times. Or one time. Castellaneta will play the role of a talk show host.
