It’s official, folks. Louis C.K.’s semi autobiographical FX series Louie will be returning for a third season. The network has ordered up another 13 episodes. Shortly after the announcement, Louis took to Twitter: “We will be back,” he said. “I am very grateful to keep the best job on earth for another year.” In the same network announcement today, FX confirmed that it will bring back the critically acclaimed Wilfred (starring Elijah Wood) for a second season. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia was also renewed for seasons eight and nine.

In related news, it was also announced today that the formation of FX Canada is complete. The current deal will find Canadian comedy lovers enjoying Louie, Wilfred and The League. FX Canada will debut on Nov. 1.

Outstanding!  As much as I enjoyed “Louie” in Season One, it is WAY better this season.  And “Always Sunny…” is reliably funny.

This week’s episode was amazing!  I love the experimental aspects of it and I hope we get more stuff like that next season.  The show has such a strong format because it is centred on a character rather than a style or form.  This show has so much more freedom than any other I can think of.  The possibilities are endless.  Congratulations Louie!
