Chicago-bred comedian Thomas Middleditch, recently named as Variety‘s “10 Comics to Watch” has landed a co-starring role in an upcoming movie, written by Scot Armstrong, who penned The Hangover Part II. This is Armstrong’s directorial debut. Middleditch, a regular at the Upright Citizens Brigade known for his extensive character work, will fellow comedian B.J. Novak in the comedy flick Road to Nardo. The story centers around two friends (Middleditch and Novak) who attempt to save their friend Nardo, who’s stranded (and naked) in Mexico.

Middleditch will also be seen in the move Fun Size with tween star Victoria Justice, where he’ll join a huge cast of fellow comedians, including Chelsea Handler, Ana Gasteyer, Kerri Kenney and Riki Lindhome of Garfunkel and Oates. The young comic also wrapped work on Another Night in Suck City — out next year — starring Robert DeNiro and Julianne Moore.

Let’s watch Middleditch in action, shall we?
