As the Aug. 26 premiere date for Paul Rudd’s new flick Our Idiot Brother grows closer, the marketing blitz is getting, uh, more blitzy-er. And that’s fine with me. Maybe this makes me a bad comedy critic, but I’d watch Rudd shit it in a box and be at least mildly entertained. That’s not to say, this new movie is the motion equivalent to shit in a box, I’m just saying if it was, I’d probably still recommend it because I like Paul Rudd. Anyway, in a case of meta-marketing, Funny Or Die just released this new short, which features Rudd pitching some horrendously stupid marketing ideas to the film’s owner, big-shot Hollywood-type Harvey Weinstein. I fully plan on stealing at least half of his ideas to help promote Laughspin.
