Veteran comedian, writer and Curb Your Enthusiasm executive producer Jeff Garlin has struck a television deal with ABC. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Garlin snagged a “script deal to write, executive produce and star in an untitled half-hour comedy.” Bruce McCulloch, of Kids in the Hall fame has signed on to co-write the script as well as act as an executive producer.
Garlin is currently starring in the eighth season of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, the semi-scripted comedy, wherein he plays Jeff Greene, Larry David’s manager. As is always the case with Curb midseason, it’s not known yet whether this will be the final season or if David will decide to continue on to season nine.
