Former web series, turned Adult Swim short-form series Childrens Hospital has been renewed for a fourth season. An order for 14 episodes to be produced has been made, and the production will begin late 2012. The series, created by former Daily Show correspondent Rob Corddry is a send up of modern hospital dramas such as House, ER and Scrubs. The show has grown in orders from Adult Swim from five, to 12, to its current 14-episodes order.
Announcing the renewal, Corddry had to say, “I’m very pleased and honored by this announcement. I’m also very surprised, given that I write this show when I’m very, very drunk. Season four promises to be a cry for help.” Childrens Hospital is also produced and written by Jonathan Stern and David Wain, and the show’s co-stars Malin Akerman, Lake Bell, Erinn Hayes, Rob Huebel, Ken Marino, Megan Mullally, and Henry Winkler. The series also hosts a list of all-star comedy guest stars such as Jon Hamm, Michael Cera, Nick Offerman and Jeffery Ross.
